As I type this December newsletter, I am sitting at the Isle of Palms with a temperature of 65 degrees, the door open with a gentle wind, and with this being a vacation I needed more than any as I came here totally worn out.  Having this time with my girls and friends has been so good for my soul.

This afternoon I sat on the beach with my dog and just cried because I was sad to leave but could acknowledge how very blessed I am to be here with my family.  I am also ready to head home to all of you as December is a very important month as I love to give and help others.

Giving Back

Our November-December Give Back is The Arc of Haywood County which helps people with disabilities to succeed and fill important place in society.

We will again donate $1 for every Spinach Artichoke Dip, lunch or dinner portion of our High Country Shrimp with Blackened Gritcake or any Cranberry Margarita.

We will host three luncheons to give to our community. Autumn Care Nursing Home will bring 9 residents in on December 8 and 21 at 11:30. We asked to bring the residents who do not have many visitors or just seem to feel like they are not happy with assisted living.  We will serve lunch and prepare goodie bags for the residents. Any of you that would like to stop by or have additional goodie bag ideas please let Brandi, Sara, Anna or I know as we would love your suggestions. We will also feed around 10 from the Arc on December 18 and will also have goodies for each person with disabilities.

Our dessert menus will change for the winter we will add a Raspberry White Chocolate Cheesecake, a Peppermint Cheesecake, and an absolutely, amazing Coconut Cake.

Anna will add a Cranberry Margarita and a Pomegranate Martini along with a few other drink specials.

We will also advertise our Seafood Tower as this was a very popular November special.

My daughters and I know and understand how extremely blessed we are because of the second chance at this new location. We so hope to always provide great food at a fair price with awesome service we most of all appreciate each of you for your loyal and continual support!

Lastly, as much as I hate to close the door to the beautiful Atlantic Ocean sound and warm breeze, I look forward to returning home tomorrow to my home and business in the beautiful Smoky Mountains as I miss my customers and my home.

We wish each of you a simply beautiful and peaceful holiday season most importantly we look forward to serving each of you this holiday season.

Wishing you and yours a Very Merry Christmas
Soni, Sara, Anna, and Grace

Employee of the Month is Ben Hewitt

Ben started with us in January and has become one of our most requested servers as he simply knows and understands our menu and the importance of customer service. His work ethic is fantastic.

Join us
Every Thursday in December after 5 for 10oz Prime Rib with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and a side for $18.95.

We welcome back Carolyn Cepzakie on our service team along with Megan Lathrop and during college break Sydney Newton and Will Shuford. Sara will fill in for Gina during her absence.

Gina has told me that the December 15 will be her last day, she will be in surgery on the sixteenth and an eight-week recovery. We will keep her in our prayers as she is a part of our Galley family and we look forward to her healing, feeling better and returning to us soon.

A Few Reminders
We will be closed December 12 for our employee Christmas party. We will close at 3pm on Christmas Eve and be closed Christmas day.

Also, be sure to look for us in the Waynesville Christmas Parades with our family and staff member’s families.

We only have a few dates left to book your holiday party for lunch or dinner, please do call and ask for Brandi, Sara, Anna, or myself to book your party.

We will be OPEN on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Make plans to join us.

The Loyalty Cards are working so well and I am proud to see everyone using their points. As the New Year approaches we will try and add additional rewards to your card.  Thanks to each of you for your loyalty.

A huge thank you to Josh Milner as he and his crew applied new coats of polyurethane to our bar, new shelves to our server stations, new floor tiles and other needed repairs.

Kenneth, Alan, and Todd, along with additional kitchen staff have totally cleaned the kitchen ceiling to floor. Out front, Ben and Scottie spent two days cleaning anything that could be cleaned.  A huge thank you to everyone for you work while we were closed.

The Lights are up outside along with the tree and Sara came in Wednesday to decorate. Jim and Karen Winfree donated the beautiful red balls over our bar and the Galley always looks so beautiful for both the Fall and Christmas seasons.
