Due to State requirements, all customers must wear a face-covering inside the building.

For the month of July we will serve only from our dinner menu. On Sunday's, our brunch menu will be limited.

Please be patient and understand that during the next few weeks we must follow restrictions from federal, state, and local government. Currently, we can only seat at half capacity, this may mean longer wait times and we cannot accommodate parties of eight or more. Please see the outside host, who will take your number and call you when your table is ready. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we have limited staff doing their absolute best.

Please call and place your to-go order at 828-456-8945 or at 828-246-0824. We gladly offer curbside pick-up for your to-go order. Please be patient and understand we have two phone lines with three staff members working them, but they can become congested with multiple calls. You can always call ahead your To-Go Order for pick-up at a later point in the day. This can greatly help alleviate long waits trying to get through on phone lines during peak ordering times.

Below are the following steps taken to ensure the health and safety of our customers and staff:

  • Implement strict social distancing protocols.
  • Make sure staff has recommended personal protective gear.
  • Ensure we maintain a healthy restaurant environment for all. Team members, vendors and guests showing possible symptoms of COVID-19 – including, but not limited to fever and persistent cough – will not be allowed on premise. Furthermore, anyone who is known to have come into contact with someone who tests positive for COVID-19 will be required to self-quarantine in accordance with CDC guidelines.
  • Encourage team members, vendors and guests to wash hands with increased frequency and duration throughout the day.
  • Comply with any mandates or recommendations from local and state health departments.
  • Reiterate best practices and preventative measures with team members at the start of each shift.
  • Increase frequency of our already rigorous cleaning and sanitizing practices.
  • All of our staff are required to take training on Covid-19 at https://countonmenc.org/. Which is backed by the NC Restaurant & Lodging Association, NC Department of Health and Human Services, along with NC State Extension.

We’re a family owned and operated restaurant located in Waynesville, a town in the beautiful Great Smokey Mountains of Western North Carolina.


Since opening in 1989, we have been frequented by locals and visitors alike. We’re known for our fresh, cooked-to-order seafood, hand-shucked Gulf and Blue Point oysters, poultry, pasta, and hand-cut steaks. Our house-made seafood chowder is the all-time customer favorite. If there’s any room left over, try one of our homemade desserts. Our bar offers a variety of cocktails, an extensive wine list, and a selection of draft, craft and microbrew beers.

At the Galley, we serve Thursday through Tuesday for lunch and dinner, as well as brunch on Sundays. Our creative team in the kitchen comes up with daily specials for lunch and dinner, and we serve generous portions of food that is as local and fresh as we can acquire.

RESERVATIONS

We're a first come, first serve restaurant. We do not seat incomplete parties and cannot place you on our waitlist until your party is complete. Please understand during the current Covid-19 pandemic, our dine-in capacity has decreased and while we do understand parties and special events we must follow federal, state, and local government laws and regulations.
